Neste to introduce renewable jet fuel in Geneva airport

Neste, the world’s leading renewable diesel producer, is set to partner up with Geneva International Airport in late 2018 to introduce renewable jet fuel into the airport’s fuel pool. The renewable fuel should amount to at least 1% of the annual jet fuel consumption at Switzerland’s main airport.

“This is an important step for Neste in implementing our growth strategy for renewables in applications outside road traffic fuels,” says Kaisa Hietala, Executive VP in Neste’s Renewables.

The partnership comes in line with International Civil Aviation Organization’s (ICAO) target for 2020 and onwards to make sure that the growth of aviation, the fastest growing means of transportation, is carbon-neutral.
