Fresh buy side interest nudges LCFS upwards

LCFS credits prices nudged above Tuesday’s levels, closing at $64.25 mid-market, amid a dearth of any significant moves in LCFS-specific fundamentals relative to the turmoil in wider financial markets.

The emergence of some more buying interests supported the modest rally, with a major biofuel refiner bidding $62 for a significant volume of Q4 credits, moving the buy side average up 50 cents. Sellers held out for a minimum $68 in Wednesday’s session, a gain of $1 from the marginal offer seen on Tuesday.

Sentiment in the RIN markets softened in contrast to LCFS direction, with D4 RINs dropping 3 cents and D6 losing a penny.
