Crude stocks came off last week, but fell short of API estimate

US crude oil inventories saw a draw of 2.1m barrels, 1m barrels short of the American Petroleum Institute’s estimate of a draw of 3.13m barrels.  The draw was largely driven by Cushing, which itself saw stocks depleted 1.9m barrels.  Ethanol stocks also saw a marked decline, coming off 351k barrels, or -1.9%.  This was in contrast to gasoline stocks which came up 2.84m barrels, an increase of 1.3%.
