Malaysian palm oil exports continue their monthly decline

Malaysian palm oil exports fell by 16% MoM in the first 15 days of February to 408,406mt, according to the latest data release from Intertek. Crude palm oil exports fell by 10%, to sit at 148,625mt, with exports of palm fatty acid distillates falling by 35% to 14,230mt.

The EU remains the destination for the largest amount of Malaysian palm oil exports, although offtake fell 18% to sit at 97,796mt for the first 15 days of February. Exports to India and China plummeted by 37% and 51% respectively, with exports to the Middle East falling 85% from 43,400mt to 6,350mt.
