EU hits Indo with biodiesel tariffs

The European Commission has delivered its proposed duties of 8-18% on Indonesian biodiesel imports, which will go into effect from 13 August. The move will cement a higher pricing floor for the European biodiesel industry just as blenders get ready for higher 2020 mandates, advantaging domestic plants running rapeseed, palm oil and waste oils as well as Argentina’s biodiesel exporters after a slow summer.
